First edition, limited issue, octavo; copy H.C. 340 of 300 copies printed on Scottish Alfa paper numbered H.C. 116 to H.C. 415; inscribed by Colette, "sa vielle amie" to French novelist and Olympic fencer Marcel Boulenger (1873-1932), in black ink on the half-title; bound in three quarter red morocco over marbled boards enhanced with gilt; marbled endpapers, top edge gilt with others uncut; original cream printed wrappers preserved at front and rear (spine lightly sunned); 7 1/8 x 4 1/2 in.
