A careful, detailed list of all of the semi-emancipated slaves under the Cuban system of Patrocinado, giving the names of over 1400 people who were provisionally released from slavery after Cuba began its gradual emancipation. Each listing provides the owner's name, the slave's name and details about the person. The slaves of the Spanish colonies were among the last to be emancipated in the early 1880's.
