Additional Details

In 1932, Mary Jeanette Edwards and her partner Willard Van Dyke (friends of Ansel Adams), established a gallery in which to house the newly established f/64 group. Created as an homage to Stieglitz's 291, they choose Anne Brigman's former Brockhurst studio as a meeting place for all artists. The place came to be known simply as "683 Brockhurst."
