Additional Details

A lyrical suite of photographs Cunningham artfully sequenced to highlight the lovely summer's day she spent at Margaret McBride's estate. The book opens with a long shot of McBride's house, and moves on to depict pastoral scenes of a lake and farmhouse, textured close-ups of tree trunks, views of an animal's leg bone carefully placed in a circular clearing, variant perspectives of a clapboard studio, and a brilliantly sunlit scene of a flowering garden. The final photograph, which appears on the rear cover, depicts a large rock at the base of a tree. <
