With 251 original photographs, comprising 141 prints in vol. I and 107 prints in vol. II; includes 109 photographs by Edward S. Curtis. Silver prints, 3x2 to 6x8 inches (7.6x5 to 15.3x20.3 cm.), with Curtis's inventory numbers and credit in the negative, each with printed captions on mount recto; offsetting. Most with single prints on each sheet; a few with one to 3 images per sheet. Oblong 4tos, gilt-pictorial leatherette (with the original gilt-lettered morocco binding housed in a custom-made slipcase); ties; the albums are housed in a contemporary brown cloth slipcase. 1899
