Reply to a letter from King about Cushing's recently published memoir From a Surgeon's Journal, which dealt with his experiences as a field surgeon in World War I. King was a dentist who served with Cushing (as did William Kenefick, referred to in the letter). In full: "Dear Ronald, So good of you to write me about my book. I'm grateful for your commendation for I was dubious about its publication. Sorry to learn about Kenefick's death--a fine fellow. Give my greetings to any of the boys you encounter. Always yours Harvey Cushing."
