First collected edition, octavo, with engraved author portrait frontispiece by Lombart, five sectional titles, with f4 blank & present; **7 likely from another copy, shorter and mounted on the stub; sidenotes on b2 intact; both notes to the binder present, the unaltered verses on leaves U1-U3 in the first issue, before they were changed; a large copy in unsophisticated original full calf with lettering piece, possibly a publisher's binding, or at least a binding created by someone with access to printer's waste from this edition, page fragment guarding the front endleaves is page 37 of the Lady Errant; very nicely preserved and large copy; ex libris James Hustler (1703-1781) with his engraved armorial bookplate pasted on verso of title; early ownership initials W and H blind stamped to front turn-in; purchased from Quaritch in 1969, with collation note on rear flyleaf, 6 5/8 x 4 3/8 in.
