Limited deluxe edition, two folio volumes in four parts, with three original sketches by William Ablett and one gouache illustration by Auguste Leroux, copy number 23 of 50 printed on handmade Japanese paper; title printed in red and black, with a total of thirty color illustrations by Ablett, and a suite of the fifteen illustrations in sanguine, black and white, and the final one in four color states, totaling 98 plates overall; bound in full crushed red morocco by Gruel gilt tooled with an interlacing grape-vine motif, gilt decorated spine, gilt stamped turn-ins, pink moiré silk endleaves, aeg.; scattered tiny stains; spines sunned and rubbed; contained in the custom marbled slipcases; 11 1/2 x 9 1/2 in.
