16mo, the first work entirely engraved, and consisting of two parts, the first part with engraved title, one unnumbered plate of a woman with a fanciful hairstyle featuring a fully rigged sailing vessel perched on her head, and twenty-four numbered costume plates split equally between men and women (plates 13 and 14 bound with preliminary leaves); the second part with twenty-four numbered costume plates, each plate printed on one side only; Le Secretaire, printed entirely typographically with blank and unfulfilled calendar pages, bound in full contemporary red morocco, boards ruled in gilt, spine decoratively tooled and labeled, aeg., with loops for a pen along fore-edge, nicely preserved, 4 1/2 x 2 1/2 in.
