First edition, 12mo, 219 pages, illustrated with five full-page engravings, some spotting to contents, bound in full contemporary full marbled sheepskin, flat spine with gilt rulings and original red morocco label, some limited surface worm damage to each board, and a bit to the spine, binding structurally sound, signature trimmed from ffep, top corner, 7 x 4 in.

This work contains the earliest view of Cincinnati, local animals, and portraits of two Native Americans. In addition to Jervis's work, the text also includes Charles Le Raye's narrative of his time in captivity with the Teton Sioux, an account whose veracity has come under question.
