Located about 25 miles from the Agra, Fatehpur Sikri was the capital of the Mughal empire between 1570 and 1586. Looming over this finely-detailed, graphic street scene is the Buland Gate, which stands at the entrance to the Jami Masjid, the great mosque of the city.
