Trade edition of 2200 copies. inscribed and signed with a pen sketch to allen porter: "avec l'affection [?] de son ami Salvador Dali 1936." An additional signature and date appear below the image. The right side of the drawing is chipped away, affecting the "6" of the additional date and a few sketched clouds. Porter was a friend of Dalí and then director of the Levy Gallery. Porter left the Gallery for the Museum of Modern Art in 1937, where he became a instrumental figure as director of the film department and assistant secretary of the Museum.
