Additional Details

number 168 of 1000 numbered copies, Printed by Ateliers Jacquet and Taricco, Paris. According to Field, the German dealer Dr. Jawdat Naffouj bought this edition from the publisher of the first Divine Comedy edition, Jean Estrade, and issued this series, with only text for the table of contents, in 1974, and sold approximately 386 sets. A second edition in 6 volumes also appeared on the market and was sold by other art dealers, so it is unclear how many sets were sold altogether. Field pages 189-200; Michler/Lopsinger Reference: 1039 - 1138.
