Also included is the lithograph contained in the prospectus (leaf not present), "Don Quichotte a la tête qui Eclat." Don Quichotte is the first book illustrated by Dalí using lithography instead of etching and is considered one of his most important and successful livres d'artiste. The lithographs necessitated six different printers and were termed by Dalí himself as "the lithographies of the century." He records his creative process methodically: "to outline the sails of the mills, the artist stuffed a rhino horn with bread and dipped in ink this monstrous quill . . ."--from the text.
