Born in Yugoslavia before World War II, Reisinger survived the Holocaust, and moved to the newly-formed state of Israel in 1949. He studied art at the Bezalel Academy of Art in Jerusalem (its youngest student at the time), and also at the Central School of Art in London under Abram Games. Following more than a decade of traveling, he returned to Israel and began a long and successful graphic design career, including designing the Israeli Pavilion for Montreal's Expo '67, creating Israel's first color magazine, designing the new El Al logo and an aluminum statue for the Yad Vashem Holocaust Museum in Jerusalem. Focusing much of his work on social and political issues, Reisinger drew inspiration from Minimalism, combining bold colors with meaningful symbols to send a visual message. This poster exemplifies this style, with the inclusion of the word for Peace in both Hebrew and English, along with the outline of a hand.
