D'APRES FIRMIN BOUISSET.Lulu-Biscuits Lefever-Utile, lithographed poster, 1897; 69 1/2x49 1/4inches. Daude Freres, Paris. Condition A-: wrinkles in image. Young boy in gray, wearing a red and blue cape, eating a biscuit against a gray background. "Since the company always tried to project an upper-class image, [Bouisset] put him in the uniform of a prestigious private school, with a smock and a medal for scholarship" (Wine Spectator 143); lettering in green and blue. Dated 1897, this poster was actually produced at a later date by the Lefevre Utile Company, after a design done in 1897 by Bouisset.
