Darwin," to an unnamed recipient ("Dear Sir"), sending thanks for the gift of his book, and, in a 6-line postscript, offering to send a copy of his own new book, Expression of the Emotions in Man and Animals. 1 1/2 pages, 8vo, written on the recto and verso of a single sheet, personal stationery; irregular closed complete horizontal tear affecting text inexpertly repaired on the verso with tissue.
