Siqueiros (1896-1974) made two versions of this portrait of Emiliano Zapata, the famed leader of the the Mexican Revolution in the early 1900s, the more popular edition of 50, which shows Zapata on horseback facing right, and this scarcer version of the revolutionary figure on horseback facing left.
