DAVID DEMOULPIED (1908-1991) CANNON. 1942. 32x21 1/2 inches, 81 1/4x54 3/4 cm. Condition B+: restored loss in lower text; archival tape and repaired pin holes in corners; minor staining in image. Silkscreen. Paper. A lifelong resident of New Hampshire, deMoulpied used his graphic skills to design at least three posters, including two for his Alma Mater, the University of New Hampshire. "David deMoulpied '34, was the designer of the 1941 Winter Carnival poster . . . A UNH Hall of Fame track star, he went on to own the Hardware Store in Durham for more than 35 years. He also designed a commissioned Cannon Mountain ski poster for their 1942 winter season. An original UNH poster and the Cannon poster hang in the New England Ski Museum in Franconia, N.H."
