Opened to the public on July 17, 1955, Disneyland was visited by over 50 million people during its first decade. Yet despite these numbers, the unmitigated success of the resort, and Disney's mighty marketing machine, very few posters promoting travel to the destination have come to market. Those that have are predominantly from travel companies selling their services, not the Disney Corporation itself.
