Engraved title, 100 double-page engraved maps hand-colored in outline, 4 engraved tables, and one duplicate map (Partie de l'Amerique Septentrionale . . . Cours de l'Ohio). Thick folio, 560x400 mm, 1/2 reverse calf, worn; upper right corner lightly dampstained but generally only in margin, small wormhole at fold by tab affecting 6 maps of European subjects, scattered minor foxing, but otherwise internally clean. Paris, circa 1760s-1820s

Additional Details

All maps are by Vaugondy and most had their initial appearance in the 1760s-70s. 26 of the Vaugondy maps have the added Delamarche imprint in the cartouche or identify Delamarche as "Successeur de Robert de Vaugondy." This copy lacking map 82 (Spain and Portugal) and map 107 (Amerique Septentrionale). Latest dated maps bear the date of 1822.
