DESIGN. GERMAN GRAPHIC DESIGN. Collection of 84 Weimar era Book Jackets from 1926-32. Cover designs by leading designers of the day including John Heartfield (14 covers), Paul Neu, George Grosz, Max Schwimmer, Werner Eggert, Paul Urban, George Salter, Fritz Stammberger, Heinrich Hussmann, Max Keilson, Willy Egarter, Heirich Jansen, Moholy-Nagy, and many other known and lesser-known figures (a full list is available upon request). Most jackets are from 8vo and 4to books, are neatly trimmed, and mounted on 8 1/4x11 3/4 inch paper, stacked loose in owner's decorative board cover with ties. Approximately 36 include both front and rear flaps with cover, 28 include the cover and front flap only, and 20 contain only the front cover, scattered light wear and mostly marginal small tears or creasing. The covers utilize photomontage, illustration, color printing, photography, type design and layout. The publications were executed for politically active and cultural German printing houses in Frankfurt, Berlin, Munich, Potsdam, Vienna, Leipzig, Hamburg, Stuttgart, Baden-Baden and one or two from Prague and Zürich, including Malik, Bruno Cassirer, Societäts-Verlag, Paul Zsolnay, Georg Müller, Sieben Stäbe, S.
