An exceptional and rare jugate celebrating Queen Victoria's 60th year upon the British throne, presenting the monarch as she appeared on the day of her ascension in 1837 to her contemporary visage in 1897. Also depicted are the Royal residences of Balmoral (lower right), Windsor Castle (in the center) and Osborne House, on the Isle of Wight (in the lower left corner). Significant dates of events that occurred during that period of her reign surround the images, which are centered around the royal arms of England (the three lions), Irish Harp and Lion Rampant of Scotland as well as the national flowers of the three kingdoms: the thistle, rose and shamrock. Previously unrecorded.
