Belgium's Royal Museum of Art and History became known as the Royal Museums of the Cinquantenaire in 1912. Here, well-dressed tourists consulting a guide book direct a driver to take them "first" to the museum, indicating just how important a stop the institution was on a well-heeled trip to Brussels.
