This poster depicts a sunset on the Hudson River as the Benjamin B. Odell (named after the former mayor of Newburgh and Governor of New York) makes her evening run from Manhattan up to Newburgh, Poughkeepsie and Kingston. The Franklin Street Pier is down by present-day Battery Park City, and the West 129th street pier no longer exists. The Central Hudson Line ceased operation in 1931.
