One in a series of 1950s travel posters for Venezuela, encouraging tourists to "Know Venezuela First." Within this series are posters showing beautiful and exotic locales within the country and others highlighting the country's natural resources. Here, in what could well be described as the most surreal and unexplainable of them all, a giant hand is shown grabbing oil wells off of Lake Maracaibo.
