The Museum of Jewish Heritage explains, "The Bolshevik revolution was associated with the Jews by many people in Europe. This 1943 anti-Semitic Nazi propaganda poster linked the brutality of the Soviet army with the Jews. The poster titled "Exposition Bruxelles Cinquantenaire. Voici les Sovjets" translates as 'Jubilee Exhibition Brussels. Here are the Soviets'). It shows a leering Soviet soldier with a five-pointed star on his cap, inside of which is montage of images which include a picture of a murdered child and a devastated city. Looming behind him is another Soviet soldier portrayed as a stereotypical Jew with a yellow star on his cap."
