These two unsigned posters show that the European influence on American design was clearly making itself felt by the mid 1930s. The typography is a clear sans-serif in the style of Lucian Bernhard, and the colors are flat. The drawing itself is on its way to escape from too much realism and the composition is more daring and inventive than many American posters of the era.
