In the style of the photomontages being produced in Paris in the 1930s by Paul-Martial, under the art direction of Francis Bernard, this poster promotes a portable record player. A photograph of the apparatus in its open case is augmented by the dapper airbrushed figure in the background, shown easily carrying the same device when closed. The two-color typography reflects both the black of the gramophone itself and the blue figure of the man.
