Franklin Delano Roosevelt is depicted as laughing over black and white photographs of the destruction in Italy separated by dripping red bloodstains. Italian anti-American propaganda ostensibly showing Roosevelt "the ultimate bravery of his aviators against defenseless Italian civilian centers," but in fact this poster was not meant for distribution in America but only to further enrage public sentiment against the Allies in the dwindling days of World War II.
