This poster can be dated, and its anonymity explained, for the same reasons. In 1936, A. M. Cassandre designed a spectacular poster for the Italia-Cosulich shipping company. The image was of three ships sailing over the top of a large globe. Clearly this poster plagiarizes Cassandre's idea, although certain changes have been made to Cassandre's original concept. Here there are ships, four of which are shown closer-up and larger, and flags have been added.
