An unusual cross-promotion between the Underground and Walt Disney. Mickey Mouse is featured here in a sanctioned, official role as part of the entertainment available to Underground riders coming into the center of London. Created in 1928, Mickey Mouse became such a popular cultural phenomenon that six years later, Disney's character was already close to being a household word. This poster is from a series of four depicting sports, cultural, and commercial activities that one could access by Underground.
