Lon Chaney Jr.'s first horror role casts him as Dan McCormick, a man who is immune to electricity. Taken in by a mad scientist who exposes him to higher and higher pulses of electricity, McCormick is driven mad and becomes a murderous "human battery" capable of electrocuting people at his touch. The movie was re-released later that same decade with the title, The Atomic Monster.
