For this French re-release the anonymous artist adopts the artwork from the original American half-sheet poster produced by 20th Century Fox for the design; showing Patricia Neal's full body, panicked citizens, aggressive soldiers and part of the Washington DC skyline. The poster is a classic within its genre not only for its visual pulp appeal but also for its blatant poetic license with the story in favor of a more exciting visual appeal. In the movie the robot does not destroy any buildings in the nation's capital, and when the robot carries the woman she is a brunette who is primly dressed in her working clothes, not a blonde in a negligee. There is almost no footage of panicking crowds and trigger happy soldiers.
