Condition B+: tears, creases, abrasions and minor losses at edges; abrasions in margins and image; pin holes in corners. Silkscreen on board, as issued.

The S.S. Belgenland was the largest vessel to sail under the flag of the Red Star Line. Post -WWI and some re-fitting, the ship was transferred from the White Star line to the Red Star line in 1923. In December 1924, the ship set off on its first of several annual world cruises. For this extravagant trip, it would take "133 days to visit 60 cities in 14 countries. Fares were $2,000 for a single berth and $4,000 for a double suite. The best de luxe suites were $25,000 for four people and $40,000 for six" (Wikipedia). After its last world cruise in 1932, the ship continued to run its transatlantic crossings, as well as showboat cruises.
