These posters were printed in enormous quantity and used across the country to designate work sites that were being funded and manned by the Works Projects Administration. The hand-stencilled numbers refer to the specific area and project being undertaken where this poster would have been posted. Given how many of these would have been printed, very few of them have survived and even fewer have come to market. Rare.
