For the 7th anniversary of the Stonewall Riot, Pillar appropriated the image of a woman demonstrating from a 1970 poster designed by Su Negrin. That poster, printed by Times Change Press, bore a quotation of Lucy Stone, from 1855: "In education, in marriage, in everything, disappointment is the lot of women.
