DORNE, ALBERT. Four items: Two illustrated Autograph Notes Signed, each with ink-and-watercolor drawing * Two ink drawings, unsigned. The notes, "A" or "Albert," to his wife Edna. The first, "For my Dearest Valentine. Every day of my life is Valentine's Day. As long as you are with me to love," showing Edna's heart-shaped head looking down at Dorne's arrowhead-shaped face. The second, "Dearest One, I never stop thinking how lucky I am--and how lucky you are. Merry Christmas," showing Dorne as Santa Claus with a cigar in his mouth. Each 10x7 or 7¾x8 inches, on heavy cardboard or personal stationery; second with horizontal fold. The drawings, showing a self-caricatured head with cigar or an abstract composition featuring an ink well with a blue eye. 8¼x8½ or 9½x11¾ inches, illustration board; faint scattered foxing affecting face, faint toning at all edges.
