DOROTHY WAUGH (1896-1996) STATE PARKS. Circa 1934.
40x27 inches. U. S. Government Printing Office.

Dorothy Waugh studied design at the Chicago Institute of Art, then moved to New York where she managed Alfred A. Knopf's children's book department. During the 1930s, she worked for the National Park Service as production supervisor as well as providing them with actual artwork and copy. In this instance simple graphics surrounding the title of the poster outline the myriad activities available to visitors to the State Parks.
