Additional Details

A better than average copy with a fine association, having belonged to Barnstable ship owner Ezekiel Thatcher. Thatcher is mentioned in Frank W. Sprague's "Barnstable and Yarmouth Sea Captains and Ship Owners" as an ardent abolitionist, one of several captains who would land runaway slaves on the south shore of Cape Cod.
