Additional Details

letter h of only 12 copies containing 2 original vellum leaves and, of these, one of only 10 copies with a gilt initial; from a total edition of 329. The leaves here are from Goethe's Iphigenie auf Tauris (with the burnished gold manuscript initial by Edward Johnston), and the other from the English Bible. An excellent study of the founder of the Doves Press and his work there, along with the pamphlet, which the editors included in copies distributed after 1971 as the result of correspondence with Cobden-Sanderson's daughter Stella.
