Etching on cream wove paper, circa 1937-39. 175x124 mm; 6 7/8x4 7/8 inches, full margins, with the tack holes at the edges. Second state (of 2). Titled in pencil, lower left. A very good, richly inked impression of this extremely scarce print.
We have found no other copies of this print at auction in the past 20 years. Other impressions of this print, both the early and later states, can be found in the collections of the Philadelphia Museum of Art. Ittmann 18.
