Additional Details

a charming early watercolor by a 20-year-old lawrence. Given by Lawrence to Stuart Gelder who co-authored Young Lorenzo with Ada Lawrence in 1931. It was passed down to Gelder's daughter, who sold it to Bertram Rota in 1958, then sold to its present owner. It is typical of young Lawrence's style.
