Fourth edition in English of a work originally published in French in 1797 and first translated the same year. "Dubois de Chémant was the first dentist to manufacture porcelain teeth by a process modified from that originally invented by an apothecary named Alexis Duchâteau in 1776"--Garrison-Morton 3677 (1788 original edition in French of an earlier work on the subject by Dubois).
