First is 8 typed pages, each with 2 watercolor illustrations on paper. 279x114 mm; 11x4 1/2 inches, stapled watercolored boards in shape of airplane wings, signed by Dummer with his address on cover, fully illustrated inside covers (which serve as endpapers), signed at front, covers a bit soiled, staples rusted with contents becoming loose * Second version is smaller, 9 pages of typed text with watercolor illustrations and endpapers as above. 228x60 mm; 9x2 3/8 inches, stapled. In shape of airplane wings that fit into a watercolored board airplane piloted by Santa Claus, with title and "Merry Christmas" on both sides, 4 1/2x10 3/4 inches, 1-inch tip of tail repaired (possibly replaced at an early date). Dummer, who, like Harrison Cady, lived in New York City and Rockport, Mass, was an active and prolific illustrator for The Youth's Companion, The Boston Post and the Christian Science Monitor where his weekly adventure series, "Animal Town Aviators" was later published as two books.
