First edition, second issue, two octavo volumes, with 16 pages publisher's advertisements at rear of each volume; bound in publisher's green cloth decorated in blind with gilt lettering and black coated endpapers; repaired open tear to half-title of second volume, occasional spotting, particularly at ends; both hinges cracked on volume one, extremities bumped, blocks cracked in a few places; the set housed in a green cloth slipcase; 7 ½ x 5 7/8 in.
