Literis Johannis Georgi, 1682, title page printed in red and black with engraved vignette; the two works bound together in half speckled calf with marbled paper boards; the Macclesfield copy, with North Library bookplate and blind-embossed armorial stamp to first title; sold in the 2005 sale, part six: Science P-Z & Addenda; 13 1/2 x 8 3/4 in.

Duret's set of astronomical tables were drawn from Kepler. Cardinal Richelieu was his dedicatee and namesake of the work. Duret was a mathematics professor who published several works of astronomy. All are rare. The only copy of this title in the auction record is this, the Macclesfield copy.
