Single volume of L'Hydrographie Française, the monumental corpus of the most accurate marine charts traversing the world compiled by the French Dépôt Général de la Marine from the mid-eighteenth through early-nineteenth centuries. The maps in this volume focus on the shores of Northern Europe, supplying extremely detailed coastal maps of Iceland, Belgium, Norway, Sweden, Denmark, the Baltic Sea, Gulf of Bohemia, Gulf of Finland. The mouths of several Germanic Rivers are treated with their own maps: the Weser, Emse and Elbe.
