An architect and graphic designer, Bartlomiejczyk is mainly remembered as the first professor of poster art and graphic design in Poland. He began his teaching career at the Warsaw Polytechnic and then in 1924 moved to the Fine Arts School where he inaugurated the "utilitarian graphics" course. He had a prominent international reputation and wound up teaching most of Poland's important post-war poster designers including Tomaschewski. This elegant Art Deco image shows the quality of his work. This is the German version. Weill 462 (var), Polnische Plakat 24, Polish Poster p. 27.
