Unlike other poster images of Geneva, in Elzingre's earth-toned composition, "Mont Blanc still dominates the mountain panorama that surrounds Geneva, [but] it is not as dominant. It now seems to blend into the landscape environment. The viewer's attention is, in effect, attracted to the boat sailing in the foreground of the poster that forms the main element of the composition. Its particular construction, made of verticals and diagonals, allows the artist to infuse great dynamism to an otherwise peaceful composition" (Paradis p. 99). Paradis p. 98.
